Gig — the best way to find your new dream job. It helps users find their next role as easy and quick as possible, matching users with job offers and also recommending relevant roles depending on their past experience.
After COVID-19, work definitely changed. The introduction and normalisation of remote work, the current state of the tech industry with all its ups, downs and workers made redundant, looking for a new gig is really tedious and time consuming. That’s when I got the idea to create Gig. The main challenge was to create a visual interface that would be easy and friendly, colourful and enjoyable, for users that spend lots of hours looking for a new job.
With Gig, users can build their profile with all their information and experience. The algorithm is able to match their profile with new and existing job offers in the platform so it decreases the time users spend browsing.
Users can also:
- Browse through their job matches and also independent job searches both on desktop and mobile.
- Apply directly to job offers.
- Set up job alerts for the roles they are applying to.
- Help the app understand company response times by answering a survey from time to time.
- Give and receive feedback from hiring managers through the hiring process.
- Flag and report job offers that seem fraudulent or shady.
Desktop version — The app overview shows current job offers available, which ones the user has already applied to and a search bar that allows them to browse further.
Mobile app — Onboarding, dashboard and 'saved' views.
Mobile app — Job offer screen and options available 'in-job'.
As part of the exercise and also to add to my design social media channels, I created some marketing assets such as this website hero above and social media posts as well.
Social media assets to promote it on my instagram profile.
